Blog Roundup: French Edition

This special edition of Blog Roundup focuses on what blogs are saying about France. Its good for a laugh.

*Superblogger Tim Blair reports on the Last Angry Frenchman. The post is from Tim Blair so you already know there's a good joke in it.

*Canadian blogger Damian Penny reports on the French tradition of mobocracy.

"The street" in healthy democracies means a road you cross. In dictatorships, it means the gossip of discontent, as in "Arab street." In France, it means mobocracy:
*Little Green Footballs informs us of the progression of Sharia law in France.

*J. F. Beck blogs on the French being..... French.

*But I am a Liberal links to a funny hoax article on Anarchists for Job Security. False but accurate.
The new 'must work for money' rule, introduced by the French government, has precipitated huge street demonstrations in Paris, as student and labor leaders rise against the specter of capitalism, worried that its emphasis on hard work and personal responsibility will ruin their most cherished cultural values of government dependency.
